"Asphyxia" is born of spontaneous creation, like the automatic writing of the Surrealists, of a liberating necessity. The idea is to evacuate this emotional overload by giving it a concrete, material, palpable form. In a way, it's a means of non-verbal communication. "Asphyxia" is thus a series of introspective images focused on the manifestation of a psychic malaise, a harrowing inner wrench. For me, it's a question of "vomiting out" this feeling of suffocation, this intestinal fermentation. It's about getting "the monster" out, sublimating it to give it an acceptable form. What I'm opening here is a door to my soul.
